Reporting
All First Mile customers have access to industry-leading reporting tools through their online portal to help them understand their waste, recycle more and achieve their sustainability goals.
Our reporting gives customers full visibility of their waste streams and materials, recycling rate and carbon data – helping them effectively manage their waste and track their scope 3 emissions.
Data can be accessed and managed for multiple sites and locations, with accurate, near-to real-time data from on-site weighing and tracked bins weighed at our award-winning Sacktory.

How do you clean different materials?

Cardboard, including pizza boxes
Only recycle clean cardboard. Put any food- or paint-stained cardboard into general waste.
Pizza boxes: scrape off any food in to your food waste bin, then put the pizza box in to your household waste recycling or mixed recycling. Don't worry about small amounts of oil, as the box will be rinsed at the material recycling facility. If the box is too greasy, rip the lid off and then just recycle that. Add the greasy bit to your general waste.

Food tins, such as soup, tinned tomatoes and pulses
Empty and scrape, as above, then put the lids inside the tins with the labels on.
If especially dirty add a small amount of water in to swirl and rinse.
